I say definitely not. Age or not, these ears belong to two different men. Also the very unusually shaped frown grooves on the man at left, presumably younger, do not appear on the face of the other older man. Also, there was an undefined something that you can always see in the eyes that let you recognize a person as they change from younger to older age.
The ears do look different but I have no other picture of the man on the left who is labeled “Ulysses.” I have identified the man on the right as the photographer. I have many photos of him. I’m trying to make the case that he is Ulysses.
Showed it to R who also strongly thinks they are not the same man.

I'm saying YES on basis of the "spine" of the ear for sure, cheek bones, eye brows. Compatible with age progression IMHO.
